Heads up, hunters: Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE, Netmarble’s action RPG based on the webtoon that became a hit anime, has arrived on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game has been live since November 3 (PST), a year after its PC debut, and the publisher confirmed it in a press release on November 4, alongside a new console launch trailer on its official channels.

Editions and prices

Two editions are on sale through the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store: the Standard Edition at $39.99 and the Deluxe Edition at $44.99. The Deluxe includes a Sung Jinwoo-exclusive costume, a Cha Hae-In emoji set and, in Netmarble’s words, “a selection of additional items”, with no detailed list. On PC, the game has been available on Steam and the Xbox PC app since November 24, 2025, also at $39.99, with the Deluxe content sold as a $9.99 add-on.

The game, for anime fans

ARISE OVERDRIVE is a premium, buy-once game, unlike the mobile Solo Leveling: ARISE. It tells what Netmarble calls “an original take” on the story of hunter Sung Jinwoo, who starts out as the weakest of all and rises to become the world’s strongest, the “Ultimate Monarch of Shadows”. It brings anime-style animated combat, deep progression systems and four-player co-op raids against bosses, plus skill and playstyle customization built around the protagonist’s Monarch abilities. Development is by Netmarble Neo.

For newcomers: Solo Leveling started as a Korean webtoon written by Chugong and illustrated by DUBU, and got an anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures, with season one in 2024 and season two, “Arise from the Shadow”, in 2025, both streamed on Crunchyroll. The game is the first time this version of the story runs on consoles.

Now for the schedule: November is packed, as our list of this month’s releases shows, and co-op fans on consoles also got Pit of Goblin, which left early access on PS5 and Xbox this week.
