When does GTA 6 come out?
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026. Pre-download starts on November 12, a week earlier, for anyone who has already bought it. Rockstar has also released the launch trailer, captured entirely on PS5.
How much does GTA 6 cost?
Pre-orders opened on June 25 on PlayStation Store and the Xbox store, with two editions: Standard, the full game, available digitally or in a box with a download code; and the digital-only Ultimate Edition, which adds extra vehicles, outfits and other items tied to Jason and Lucia’s campaign. In Brazil, they cost R$ 449.90 and R$ 549.90. Anyone who buys either edition by November 20 gets the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+.
Which platforms?
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
No PC version has been announced. Take-Two has indicated the November launch is console-only. A GamesBeat report citing anonymous sources points to PC in the first quarter of 2027, but Rockstar has not confirmed it. We will update this page when there is an official announcement.
Which languages?
Rockstar’s official language list includes Brazilian Portuguese for menus and subtitles. No localized voice work has been announced, and Rockstar’s pattern so far, in GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, has been English audio with subtitles.
The story
The game is set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, with Vice City back. The leads are Jason and Lucia, a duo caught in a criminal conspiracy after an easy score goes wrong. The original score is by French duo Justice.
The launch’s impact
Expectations are so high that analysts are already measuring the effect on other games: one study named Call of Duty and EA Sports FC among those most at risk of losing players in launch week.
