Rockstar Games has released the GTA 6 launch trailer, more than a month before the game comes out.

In this industry we love and hate in equal measure, publishers usually drop a launch trailer just a few days before release, to build hype and maybe win over a few players who are still on the fence.

Rockstar Games went its own way this time: the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer arrived more than 30 days ahead of the release date.

What the trailer shows

According to the video description, Jason and Lucia always knew the odds were against them. When an easy job goes wrong, the pair end up on the darker side of the sunniest place in America, caught in a criminal conspiracy that stretches across the state of Leonida, and they will have to trust each other more than ever to get out alive.

The trailer features new music from the electronic duo Justice, who composed the original score for Grand Theft Auto VI. Their new standalone single, “Flower in a Hurricane”, with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, is also part of Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the official soundtrack, which can already be pre-saved on the major streaming platforms and pre-ordered on vinyl or CD at GTA6 The Album.

Rockstar says the trailer was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5.

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
