Come along, this one is a sweet treat: the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS battlefield just got hearts, balloons and a K-pop music video. KRAFTON announced Update 44.1 on Thursday (5), bringing the collaboration with girl group IVE, already live on PC since the November 4 maintenance and arriving on consoles on November 12. It is the second chapter of a busy week for the franchise, which just landed a live-action Netflix series.
IVE brings “LOVE DIVE” to Rondo
Three IVE Spots, inspired by the “LOVE DIVE” music video, were added to the Rondo map, including the IVE Mansion. All six members of the group became playable characters, with their outfits and accessories, and there are weapon and gear skins too. How cute is this: the starting islands of Rondo, Erangel, Miramar, Taego, Deston and Vikendi now have emote stages; performing an IVE emote on the stage plays the song’s music video (on PC; consoles show the album art instead), and other players can hop up to dance along or cheer from below with the interaction key. The stage disappears once the plane takes off, and it works in Normal, Ranked and Casual modes.
The starting islands also got Cupid’s Crossbow, a bow everyone receives with 10 bolts that does no damage to players: each hit on a Cupid Chicken Man takes 5 HP off him. According to KRAFTON, the collaboration’s world features stay in the game until the next update; items and emotes with the group’s songs and choreography go to the Store and Special Crafting.
Two PvE modes return, harder
- HLB: Dawnbreakers of Rondo: October’s co-op mode returns with a single “Nightmare” difficulty, only in Jadena City, with stronger and more frequent Hungers, more fuel canisters needed to start the generators and a tougher final defense. Balanced for four-player squads, but you can join solo. PC from November 4 to 25; consoles from November 12 to December 3.
- Xeno Point: Hell: the roguelite swaps its three difficulty levels for a single “Hell” difficulty and adds a fourth sector above what used to be the hardest one. Difficulty scales with party size (1 to 4 players) and a leaderboard ranks the fastest final-boss clears. PC from November 18 to December 2; consoles from November 26 to December 10.
PUBG Fantasy ahead of PGC 2026
For the PUBG Global Championship 2026, PUBG Fantasy returns on PC and consoles with more time to build a roster, overall scores and team rankings updated after every match, friend rankings and roster history; the schedule comes at the end of November. Update 44.1 also makes some vehicles more durable, shows spectators more information (Blue Chip status, inventory and weapon attachments) and improves voice chat quality. PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS is free to play on PC, PS5 and Xbox; the full details are in the Update 44.1 patch notes and on the collaboration page. My little gamer heart is grateful, and the rest of the month is in our list of November releases.
