This one is big: PUBG is getting a live-action Netflix series. KRAFTON announced on Friday, October 30, that the battle royale adaptation is in development at the streaming service.

Leading it is Donald Glover, winner of two Emmys and two Golden Globes, known for Atlanta and Community. He will be the series’ director, writer, executive producer and lead. His brother, Stephen Glover, joins as writer and executive producer.

Executive producers also include Michael Schaefer for NEON TV, Fam Udeorji for Gilga, and Taeseok Jang and Sujin Lee for LV3H, KRAFTON’s own entertainment division. There is no premiere date, full cast or story detail yet.

PUBG, released in 2017, made the battle royale genre a worldwide hit and holds seven Guinness World Records. The series is part of KRAFTON’s plan to take the franchise beyond games.
