World of Warcraft players have something new to try this weekend: Talebound, the standalone game mode announced at BlizzCon 2026, is open on the Public Test Realm (PTR) since Friday, October 30. The demo ends on the morning of Monday, November 2 (Pacific time).

What stands out is how much is in it for a demo: an introduction zone, three legends to play through, all three of the mode’s classes and three difficulty levels, Normal, Veteran and Heroic.

The test previews the 12.1.7 update, which brings Talebound to the game later this year. Blizzard has posted the three classes’ ability kits on the official World of Warcraft blog, for anyone who wants to reach the PTR knowing what each one does.

He covers indies, pixel art and art direction, and can write three paragraphs about a jump animation. He has never been seen without his captain’s cap, not even in photos (which, let’s be honest, are all drawn).
