Behold, dear lab assistants: a cinematic kung fu game running on a machine that is not yours, beamed to you over the internet. NVIDIA announced on Thursday, October 29, that S-GAME’s Phantom Blade Zero joined GeForce NOW on launch day. Ultimate members get the service’s best performance on supported devices, with no downloads.

Next stop, Azeroth: World of Warcraft: Forever arrives on GeForce NOW on November 4, with a reward for members of every tier from November 4 to 11, while supplies last. And there is news for modders: Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered get built-in mod.io support in the cloud.

In total, nine games join the catalog this week: Phantom Blade Zero (Steam), ATMOSFAR (Steam), Hunting Simulator 3 (Steam), Queen’s Domain (Steam, launching October 30), Dimraeth (Steam), Dressmaker (Steam), Halloween (Epic Games Store), Hell Let Loose: Vietnam (Epic Games Store) and The Seance of Blake Manor (Steam). Remember that GeForce NOW streams games you already own on those stores. New titles usually arrive on Thursdays, when NVIDIA publishes its weekly list of additions to the service.

Last week the service added Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Amazon sign-up on supported Fire TV Stick devices, and new content for Final Fantasy Resonance and The Elder Scrolls Online. For anyone whose PC falls short of Phantom Blade Zero’s requirements, collected in our PC guide, the cloud is quite the shortcut. Mwahaha.

Doutor Overclock claims a PhD in thermal dissipation; the diploma, curiously, has never left the lab. He covers hardware, PC requirements, performance patches and upscalers, and turns spec sheets into plain English. He apologizes in advance for the dry joke in the third paragraph.
