Heads up, PC crew: NVIDIA has released a new GeForce Game Ready Driver that brings Advanced Shader Delivery to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Gears of War: E-Day, and this week’s batch of news also put DLSS 4.5 into Cyberpunk 2077 and MW4 itself. More big games are arriving with the tech before the end of October.

Goodbye, shader compilation screen

Advanced Shader Delivery is a Microsoft technology that downloads shaders already compiled for each player’s specific combination of graphics card and driver. Translation: no more long wait the first time you launch the game, and fewer stutters mid-match. The driver is available through the NVIDIA app or the official website.

MW4 and Cyberpunk with DLSS 4.5

Modern Warfare 4, which launched on October 23 with multiplayer, supports DLSS Super Resolution in every mode, Frame Generation on RTX 40 Series cards and, on RTX 50 Series, DLSS Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, which multiplies frame rates by up to 6x, according to NVIDIA. Reflex, which cuts latency, is there too.

Cyberpunk 2077 got an update on October 22 that moves its whole DLSS suite to version 4.5, adding Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and the second-generation AI models for Multi Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction and Super Resolution.

What is coming

On October 28, S-GAME’s Phantom Blade Zero launches with DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and PC-exclusive path tracing, enhanced by Ray Reconstruction. On the 29th it is the turn of Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown. Planet Zoo 2 already has DLSS 4.5, THE FINALS received its PRIME TIME update with RTX Global Illumination, and NBA 2K27 got a DLSS 5 model up to 1.4x faster on RTX 50 Series. For modders, the Left 4 Dead RTX project, built with RTX Remix, showed its first preview.

If you are thinking about an upgrade, it is worth checking graphics card prices before the next wave of releases.
