Overwatch Season 5 starts on October 6 and marks the final chapter of Talon’s Reign. The season brings Doctrine, a new Support hero tied to Doomfist’s past, plus a brand-new map, a Halloween event and big changes to Sombra and Roadhog.

Doctrine, the new Support hero

Doctrine manipulates the life force of both sides of the fight. Her Eternal Scepter heals allies and damages enemies, while bat-like mechanical drones heal the team and boost its attack speed. The Infusion ability empowers her next ability, and her ultimate grants allies extra health while capping enemies’ maximum health.

The new Escort map is set in a prison inside a volcanic fissure in Iceland, between fire and ice. Once an Overwatch facility and later a Helix prison, the site is now under Talon’s control after Doctrine’s escape.
