Hold your horses, hunter: The Duskbloods is no longer coming in 2026. FromSoftware announced on Thursday, October 29, on the studio’s social media accounts, that its Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive has moved to 2027. There is no exact date yet.
In the statement, FromSoftware explains that development is at the final adjustment stage but that it decided to move the launch window. “During the network test, we saw active interest in the core concepts of the game, including combat, strategic depth, and player expression. To further enhance these aspects, we have decided to move the launch, allowing time for final adjustments to game rules and balancing,” the note reads. The studio also apologized to players waiting for the game and thanked them for their patience.
The Duskbloods was revealed in April 2025 during the Switch 2 presentation as a project from FromSoftware, the studio behind Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro and Elden Ring, made with Nintendo and exclusive to the new console. It is an online multiplayer game focused on competitive and cooperative matches, in which players control vampire hunters called Bloodsworn.
The game went through network tests this year. The first, in August, was marked by frequent crashes and many players unable to get in, according to participants; the following tests ran better. With the 2026 window nearly over and no news since then, the delay did not come as much of a surprise to fans. Now the wait is for FromSoftware to announce a 2027 date.
