Time to hunt on your phone! Monster Hunter Outlanders launched on Thursday, October 29, on Android and iOS in Brazil. It is a survival action RPG built around hunting, developed by Tencent’s TiMi Studio Group, licensed and supervised by Capcom, and published in Brazil by Garena, the company behind Free Fire.

The adventure takes place on Aesoland, an island full of mysteries. Players can follow the main story, hunt monsters of different difficulty levels in Free Hunt mode, and take on the Arena, where everyone competes with normalized stats. The headline monster at launch is Ruger Aidal, an original Elder Dragon that shines like the sun, and the island also has Radiant species, monsters mutated by the island’s unique conditions.

In combat, each weapon type is tied to an original Adventurer. The Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, Hammer, Lance, Heavy Bowgun and Bow are already in, and the new arrival is the Dynamo Blade, which switches between Sword Mode and Axe Mode for offense or defense. Garena promises more weapon types in future updates.

Hunts can be solo or in groups of up to four players, with cooperative skills that add extra damage. Three kinds of companions join the hunter: the classic Palico, the Rutaco and the Trillan, who help with hunting, exploring and building.

To celebrate the launch, first-month events give out up to 400 Recruitment Tickets, the SSR Adventurers Pyro and Luka, the SSR companion Kojiro, and a special quest with the new Adventurer Midori. The Monster Hunter series, which started in 2004, has sold 127 million units as of March 2026, according to Capcom.
