Razer has announced the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition, a hand-finished version of its flagship officially licensed PlayStation 5 controller. It is limited to 1,337 individually numbered units and goes on sale in regional drops from November 10, first come, first served. Razer says the edition is sold only through Razer.com and select RazerStore locations; drop times and how to take part will be posted on November 6 on Razer’s social channels. Razer has not announced a price yet.
Magnesium, glass and PBT
The outer shell is magnesium alloy, and the grips have a textured matte-black TPU coating that resists oil. At the center sits a laser-etched, semi-transparent glass touchpad that shows the open polygonal design underneath. The action buttons, D-pad and secondary controls use double-shot PBT so their legends do not wear off. The top and back plates have an open polygonal design with chamfered edges, and a nano-scale coating protects the internals while keeping them visible. The controller weighs 260 g.
“With the Raiju V3 Pro Signature Edition, we set out to show what happens when we push Razer’s engineering and design capabilities to their absolute limit,” said Charlie Bolton, Razer’s global head of design.
Same hardware as the Raiju V3 Pro
Inside, it is the Raiju V3 Pro: symmetrical sticks with contactless TMR sensors, six remappable buttons (two top buttons built for claw grip and four mouse-click back buttons) and up to 2,000 Hz polling on PC with Razer HyperPolling wireless. Buttons, stick sensitivity and trigger response are set in Razer Synapse or the Razer PS app, with profiles saved on the controller.
In the box: a faux-leather case, alternative stick caps (low convex and tall concave), four back-button covers, an anodized aluminum swap tool, a Razer HyperSpeed dongle for PS5 and PC, and a USB-A to USB-C cable.
The Raiju line debuted in 2016. More Razer on SavePoint: the Wolverine V4 for Xbox and the wired Kraken Kitty V3 headset.
