Listen up, survival crowd: Survival: Fountain of Youth, the 16th-century Caribbean survival game from Odinsoft and publisher Twin Sails Interactive, got a free co-op update on Monday, November 2, for groups of two to four players on Steam. Existing owners get the mode at no extra cost.
And it came in hot: to celebrate, the game is 65% off on Steam from November 2 through November 16, down from $27.99 to $9.79 in the US store.
Three regions for the crew to explore
Co-op launches with the campaign’s first three major regions: Island of Hope (Bird Region), a tropical paradise of dense forest and mountain paths where the crew builds its first vessel; Copper Island (Buffalo Region), dry and hostile, with scarce food, shipwrecks, sharks and jaguars; and Iron Island (Puma Region), a gloomy volcanic island with lava, ancient ruins, labyrinths, and iron and coal to mine.
The group follows the trail of an ill-fated expedition searching for the legendary Fountain of Youth, with camps, hunting, farming, crafting and mysteries to solve.
Split the work, but everyone sleeps together
In co-op, gathering and crafting happen instantly and cost energy instead of time, and every player manages their own energy bar. The crew can split up: one hunts, another gathers, another builds. There is one rule, though: the whole group sleeps at the same time. Systems were also rebalanced, with more generous resources across the world and progression tuned for co-op, for less waiting and more exploring.
The final two regions will join co-op in the coming months, one in Q4 2026 and the other in Q1 2027. For now the mode is Steam-only: the publisher says it is coming to the Epic Games Store in the coming weeks and to PlayStation and Xbox in 2027.
