Bushiroad has dated Weiß Schwarz Online, the digital version of its character card game: March 24, 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and Steam (March 25 in Japan). It offers matches against the CPU and online duels against players worldwide, with text in Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Korean and Spanish.
Cards from anime, games and VTubers
Weiß Schwarz is the card game where each deck comes from a licensed series, and Bushiroad calls it the card game with the most participating titles in the world. The digital version keeps the idea: collect cards from anime, games, VTubers and other series, build a deck and take on other players. Newcomers learn the rules through tutorials and matches against the computer, so you do not need to own a single physical card to start.
The game launches in two editions, each with four titles from day one. The Weiß Edition has Aogiri High School, Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko, The Quintessential Quintuplets and BanG Dream! MyGO!!!!!. The Schwarz Edition has The Idolmaster Shiny Colors, Sword Art Online, Touhou Project and BanG Dream! Ave Mujica. Bushiroad also showed a DLC roadmap with new cards.
Who makes it and where to try it
It is developed by FURYU and LANCARSE, and the Steam page is already live for wishlists. Before launch, playable demos will be on show at Bushiroad booths at events around the world. Pricing and how the editions will be sold have not been announced yet, nor whether more languages will be added by launch.
