The end of the year brings a short list of games that will lose their servers or leave digital stores. The biggest one is Call of Duty: Warzone, which stops working on PS4 and Xbox One on November 6, the same day Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 begins. Activision had already said the last-gen shutdown would line up with the new season; nothing changes on PS5, Xbox Series or PC.
The dates to write down
November 6, 2026: Call of Duty: Warzone goes offline on PS4 and Xbox One.
December 18, 2026: Synduality: Echo of Ada disables in-game purchases.
December 31, 2026: NBA 2K25 shuts down its online servers.
End of December 2026: Street Outlaws and Street Outlaws 2 are delisted from the Xbox Store.
End of January 2027: Amazon’s New World: Aeternum shuts down its servers.
May 2027: Synduality: Echo of Ada closes its servers for good.
What it means for players
For NBA 2K25, the shutdown hits online modes and connected content; 2K has not detailed what keeps working offline, so check the official support page before the end of the year. Bandai Namco’s Synduality gets a staged goodbye: purchases end in December, and the servers only go dark in May 2027.
The two Street Outlaws games are not shutting down: they are only leaving the Xbox Store, and anyone who buys them before the deadline keeps them in their library. If you want a digital copy, now is the time. The list may grow, since publishers often announce these closures at short notice.
