Activision detailed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1, which starts on November 6 on every platform. It is the first big update since launch and also marks the game’s full integration with Warzone, whose changes will be shown on November 2.
Multiplayer gets six maps over the season. Three arrive on day one: Backstab, in a snow-covered city; Canyon, in a dry region ringed by rock walls; and a new take on Shoot House, now set in North Korea. Shipment has been in the game since October 27. Ministry and Overflow come with the mid-season update, together with the Kill Block: Crash mode, while the Possession and Infected modes arrive earlier, on October 29 and 30.
DMZ, the extraction mode that returned with Modern Warfare 4, adds X01, a secret military facility on the outskirts of Hajin with tunnels, underground labs and a guarded vault. Ghost leads squads with new orders, and Threat Report events pit players against a tank in Hajin and a boss called “The Captain” inside X01.
The arsenal opens with the Cronen Osprey assault rifle and the CSG-35 submachine gun, both in the battle pass. The JAK 12 automatic shotgun and the ZLR Talonhawk melee weapon arrive during the season. Some attachments change how weapons work, such as a dual-fire system for the Osprey and the option to wield two CSG-35s at once.
The battle pass has 100 tiers and more than 100 rewards; the premium version costs 1,100 COD Points, and a catch-up system unlocks rewards up to the current day of the season, through day 50.
