Seven smaller games that deserve a spot on your wishlist (or your Tuesday afternoon).

MyDear.exe: a love letter inside an old PC

The first game from Bordeaux-based Falling Leaves Studio, MyDear.exe came out on Monday (November 2) on Steam and the Epic Games Store, 40% off during launch week. It is a “Foldervania”: you explore folders, photos and documents in a Windows XP-inspired interface to uncover the story of Ellie and Lucien, a couple who spent 57 years together. It runs about two hours, is fully voiced and has minigames and password puzzles. The team includes the former game director and producer of The Rogue Prince of Persia.

Bobo and the Chest of Nightmares: a retro 3D platformer

From Polycast Labs, the 3D platformer Bobo and the Chest of Nightmares is out now on Steam. Jumps, gliding, traps and evil spirits stand between you and the Dream Master. It is also announced for Switch, Switch 2 and Xbox.

County of Fortune: a whole county, not just a city

From Nepos Games and publisher Aquila Interactive, County of Fortune comes to PC on November 5. Instead of one city, you found villages across a whole medieval county, link trade along rivers and roads and deal with mayors, noble houses and cultures.

Hull Rupture: you are the last ship’s AI

From Konfa Games and tinyBuild, Hull Rupture launches on PC on November 4. You are the AI of the ship carrying what is left of humanity to a new home, and humans are just another resource. It mixes base management, tower defense and roguelite runs.

Collabulator: the multiplayer calculator

Yes, really: Collabulator, from Mangerive, is “the world’s first and only multi-user calculator”, now with achievements. The joke lands on Steam on November 17.

Balkan Vice: Callatis: casinos on the Black Sea in the 2000s

R2C Games announced Balkan Vice: Callatis, an open-world RPG set in a fading Black Sea resort town in the 2000s. You play Florin, a young man who builds a casino business, and every success makes walking away harder. It is planned for 2027 on PC.

Indie Treasures: an indie sale on Steam

Toukana Interactive is running the Indie Treasures sale, with discounts from hundreds of independent studios on Steam. A good time to pick up those games that have sat on your wishlist for months.

Sources: Falling Leaves Studio, Polycast Labs, Nepos Games, Konfa Games, Mangerive, R2C Games, Toukana Interactive and Bellular.

Indies and pixel art

Capitão Pixel swears he has a pilot’s license, but the only thing he really flies is the Steam Next Fest demo list. He covers indies, pixel art and art direction, and can write three paragraphs about a jump animation. He has never been seen without his captain’s cap, not even in photos (which, let’s be honest, are all drawn).
