A leak with 3D gameplay footage of an alleged remake of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona (Persona 1) has been circulating since October 31, 2026. According to reports from Persona Central, TheGamer, Dualshockers and The Nerd Stash, the project would appear under the title Persona: Be Your True Mind. This is a rumor: Atlus and SEGA have not confirmed or commented on the material.

The anonymous video, shared on forums and amplified in clips on X (including a post by @Jivesh1995), shows the protagonist exploring a hospital in a full 3D environment, a UI in the style of recent Persona entries, Unreal Engine debug text (the same engine used for Persona 3 Reload) and a remixed soundtrack. In combat, Tatsuya Suou’s Persona 2 model appears as a placeholder for the protagonist; the cast includes Masao “Mark” Inaba, Kei Nanjo and other St. Hermelin students. The file’s authenticity has not been independently verified: it could be a real leaked build or an elaborate fake.

Context helps explain the noise. In earlier interviews, series producer Kazuhisa Wada has talked about revisiting the early Persona games “when the timing is right,” without announcing a remake. Atlus is still working on Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6; no official statement ties those projects to today’s leak. We will update this story if Atlus or SEGA comments.

In the meantime, anyone who wants the modern Persona feel on PC can play Persona 3 Reload on Steam.
