Come with me, this one is for playing as a pair, ideally with someone who likes to talk: We Were Here Tomorrow, the new chapter in Total Mayhem Games’ co-op puzzle series, is out now on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with crossplay across all three.
For the first time in the series, the game also has voice acting in languages beyond English, including Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Latin American Spanish.
Two explorers, one mysterious facility
Two players wake up trapped inside the mysterious Norček Industries facility, each in a different place, seeing different parts of the world and the story. To move forward they have to talk, describe what each of them sees and solve puzzles together that play with time, gravity and space. Neither has the full picture, so listening to your partner is everything.
The series moves to a retro-futuristic setting inspired by the 1980s, full of strange technology, failed experiments and missing researchers. The story was written by award-winning author Claire North, and the original voice cast includes British actress Sophie Okonedo, Connor Colquhoun (Cdawg), Boris Hiestand and Elena Saurel.
Almost ten years of the series
The first We Were Here came out in 2017. Since then the series has grown to five games and, according to the Dutch studio, more than 25 million players. The launch comes with a 10% discount. A sweet plan for the weekend.
According to creative director Martín Mittner, the goal was to build on what players love about the series while giving them something new and bold to discover, with a richer story and more characters to talk to.
