Far Cry 6 follows the same Ubisoft formula as the other games in the franchise, but that doesn’t mean something bad.
I won’t even say much about the story, because, as almost always, you are in the middle of some mess that isn’t yours and have to help someone on an enormous map, where you must search a lot and do various missions to rid the place of all the injustice that plagues it.
Basically you will have to help 3 distinct groups in Yara, causing quite a lot of destruction, deaths and everything else along your journey, to be able to move on to the final mission in which you will need to finish off the demonic villain who was messing with you and your new friends.

Speaking of friends, you can recruit several Buddies to go on missions with you, from the little dog Chorizo to the crocodile Guapo that showed up in one of the first trailers.
Total cliché, Ubisoft standard down to the last bit, but even so, a hell of a lot of fun.
Far Cry 6 has a fictional island as its backdrop, where the inhabitants swear a lot in Spanish, even with the game set to the Brazilian dub.
Find locations with FND crates stored, to gain access to new weapons, which here can be customized with some new items to make them more interesting and useful for every taste. Or else buy them with in-game money if you don’t want to explore.
Almost all weapons have plenty of customization options, with different types of ammunition and “Perks” with various different effects, and there are also Special Weapons that can’t be customized, but have their own upgrades.
Vehicles are varied too, from Horses to Jet Skis, but you will certainly use the Parachute and Wingsuit a lot to get around Yara.

As for side missions, there is the already famous Cockfighting, plus fishing and hunting of various kinds of animals. There are also missions to take the army’s toll checkpoints, destroy the Anti-Aircraft Batteries, and ambush convoys.
The gameplay is solid, working very well, but a few things were irritating along the way. Playing on the PlayStation 5, the loading times aren’t almost instant like other games already released for the console, but they are quite short.
More than once, I died in the middle of an ongoing mission and, besides the loading taking much longer than normal, I also respawned in a random place that I hadn’t even passed through to reach the location. Or else infinite enemies respawning in front of me, until I advanced into the target building and the mission continued.
I found the Portuguese dub good, and the sounds of weapons, vehicles, animals and so on do their job well. Nothing out of the ordinary, but they are not bad either.
It took me about 40 hours to finish the game, having done practically all the main missions and left most of the side missions aside. I think I could have finished faster if I had gone straight to the main mission, but then I imagine I would have had trouble with the enemies and wouldn’t have had any help from the guerrilla crew.

I could easily give it an 8.5, but I’ll take away half a point, and my final score will be 8.0 because of the silly bugs that happen with some frequency, like enemies falling into walls and buildings, enemies popping up out of nowhere, slow restarts (even playing on the PS5) and in random places when dying during missions.
Despite that, Far Cry 6 managed to entertain me a lot, especially after I got used to the weapon modification system, to make my life easier against the stronger, well-equipped enemies. And I’ll say right away that I didn’t even touch the game’s online part.
