Heads up, Free Fire players: the game is becoming an anime, and the world premiere is in Brazil. Garena announced on Friday, October 30, that the first episode of Free Fire: Daybreak will screen at CCXP26 in São Paulo on December 5, ahead of the global premiere planned for between April and June 2027.

After the screening comes a panel on the series’ production with members of the team and DJ and producer Alok, who has been part of Free Fire since 2019 and remains one of the game’s most popular characters. He appears in the first episode, contributed to the soundtrack and, after the panel, takes the stage for a live set. From December 3 to 6, the Free Fire booth at CCXP will host activities themed on the game and the anime.

The anime is produced by Garena with KADOKAWA and animated by studio Candy Box. It is directed by Ken Takahashi, written by Hotaru Asafuji and scored by Koji Fujimoto. The story follows Kelly, Hayato and Moco, characters fans already know from the game, in the futuristic city of New Dawn, controlled by the Horizon Corporation. There, Kelly is drawn into a conspiracy and discovers she has a new power.

Free Fire is one of the most downloaded mobile games in the world and has one of Brazil’s strongest communities, so it makes sense for the premiere to happen at the country’s biggest pop culture convention. More details on the CCXP schedule will be shared as the event approaches.
