A leaker dropped a ninja bombshell on the Resetera forum.
One plan with ads costing $12.99 a month, and another without ads for $19.99 a month.
The most expensive plan currently, Ultimate, is $22.99 dollars a month in the United States.
The price cut is small abroad (just $3 dollars), but the impact will be big:
Game Pass will no longer have launches in the catalog: the famous day one tagline.
And Cloud Streaming is also left out and will no longer be part of any subscription plan.
It will be an additional add-on that can be purchased separately, costing $5.99 a month, with 25 hours available for you to play without needing the console.
The Family Plan will also be an additional add-on, costing $5.99 a month.
There will also be a plan where you get access to the Game Pass catalog games and also online play, for $14.99 a month.
(This part is confusing, but I think it’s a middle ground between the Premium or Essential plans that exist today)
A plan just for playing online (like the old Xbox Live), with no games included, will cost $10.99 a month.
There is no equivalent plan today. (There is the Essential plan, which allows online play but also gives access to a reduced catalog of games)
It will be a complete overhaul of all the plans.
Game Pass will no longer have day one launch games going straight to the catalog.
(It didn’t explain whether this will apply only to Microsoft games, or to games from other developers too.)
