Insomniac Games announced today that Spider-Man 2 has finished development and the game is ready for launch.

Exactly 1 month before launch, developer Insomniac Games announced it has finished development of its next game: Spider-Man 2.
When a game goes GOLD, it is ready to be sent to the production line, so that work on pressing the physical media can begin.
It is possible that, by its release on October 20, new errors and bugs will be found and the game will receive a day-one update to fix them, but a game in GOLD state is usually perfectly playable, even if bugs and performance problems occur.
Spider-Man 2 will be released exclusively for PS5 this holiday season, and should get a PC version at some point next year or the one after, given that the web-slinger’s previous games took the same path.
Take the chance to rewatch the trailer that was shown at the September 14 State of Play.
