GTA VI is casually announced by Rockstar Games in a Twitter post that passes half a million likes. See what was said in the announcement.

GTA VI, or rather, the franchise’s next installment, was casually announced by Rockstar Games in a Twitter post, and it already has more than half a million likes.

As you can see in the text, Rockstar Games merely announced that active development of the franchise’s next game is already under way. And with that the post has already passed 580 thousand likes on Twitter.

In its most recent financial report, it was disclosed that GTA V has sold more than 160 million copies since its release.

GTA is unquestionably a phenomenon, and Rockstar knows it. For a long time now, it has known it doesn’t need an E3, a Game Awards, or any kind of partnership to create hype and generate engagement. The franchise’s name does that all by itself.
