For those who don’t know the franchise yet, Nioh is a samurai-themed action/fantasy RPG with “Souls-like” gameplay, but with a strong focus on equipment loot.

Nioh was initially announced as a game for the PlayStation 3 launch window, and was forgotten for quite a while until development was resumed and it was released for PS4. A year later, a PC version came out.

Nioh 2 followed the same path, released first for the PS4 and later getting a PC version.

Recently, with the arrival of the new generation, Team NINJA also released a Remastered version of both games, featuring 4K resolution, a 120FPS mode, compatibility with the PS5’s DualSense functions and other features.
