What stands out in this story is the address: Roblox held the first Latin American edition of the Roblox Creator Series (RCS LATAM), its developer event, in São Paulo on Thursday, October 15, and closed the day with the first Creator Showdown outside the United States. They were the platform’s first large-scale events in Brazil.

The numbers help explain the choice. According to Roblox, Latin America reached 36 million daily active players in 2025, up 89% in a year, with more than 84 million hours played every day. In Brazil, the number of developers earning money on the platform grew 61% in the past year, and more than 1,650 games by Brazilian creators have passed 1 million visits.

Creators, tools and Big Brother Brasil

The panels brought together creators of hits such as Brookhaven, Dandy’s World, Rivals and Animal Hospital, covered careers and the translation and adaptation of games for other languages, and showed Roblox Studio’s AI tools, such as Build. Leonardo Vasques, an engineer at Voldex and a Brookhaven developer, summed up the spirit of the event: “Connecting with people is the most important part.”

A curious detail: Globo presented the official Big Brother Brasil 27 experience on Roblox, made with Uncover Studio. A pilot minigame, Mistério BBB, featuring host Tadeu Schmidt, arrives in November, and the full experience, with an interactive replica of the house and themed challenges, debuts in January. Banco do Brasil showed its financial-education simulator Rolê que Rende, and the free Expedição Roblox program, run with Mastertech, trained 200 young people from São Paulo’s Fábricas de Cultura in Roblox Studio at the Hub Sampa Games. There was also a panel on Brazil’s new digital child-protection law (ECA Digital), age verification and the Roblox Kids and Roblox Select accounts.

The Creator Showdown

To close the day, eight Brazilian creators split into four pairs to compete in five games on the platform, including Beat Battles, FIFA Super Soccer and Killstreak Battle Royale. The total prize pool was R$100,000, and the top prize of R$50,000 went to Team Yellow, Teodoro and Godenot. The Portuguese stream was hosted by LimaMosca, MoonyCaroll and Ana Xisdê.
