This one is for trainers in São Paulo: Pokémon GO will celebrate Wild Area: Global with a special meetup on November 14 and 15, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Japanese Pavilion in Ibirapuera Park. And it is not only in São Paulo: player communities will also host meetups in several Brazilian cities.
At the Japanese Pavilion, look forward to life-size statues of the team leaders, physical PokéStops to recharge phone batteries, special activities and meetups with well-known community Trainers, with time for photos and autographs. The goal, according to the organizers, is to bring players together and create in-person experiences for daily players and for anyone looking to come back to the game.
In the game, this year’s Wild Area: Global, an event that started in 2024, focuses on Steel and Dragon types. The debuts are Dynamax Dialga and Dynamax Palkia in Max Battles, plus Gigantamax Duraludon in six-star Max Battles. Exceptionally powerful Pokémon also appear and can be caught with Safari GO Balls, along with themed wild spawns, field research and bonuses.
Players who buy a ticket for the global event get extra perks, such as exclusive special research and better odds of finding Shiny Pokémon. Comfortable shoes are a good idea: Ibirapuera is one of the city’s largest parks, and walking is part of the fun. Details for each community meetup are handled by local groups and the game’s official channels.
