Team NINJA listened to everyone who played the Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember alpha demo. On Thursday, October 22, KOEI TECMO shared the results of its player survey and the list of what will change before launch on March 4, 2027.
What the demo showed
The alpha demo ran from September 16 to 30 and took players to the open field of Changban, fighting alongside Liu Bei’s army against the pursuing forces of Cao Cao. Afterwards, players were invited to fill in a survey, and the full report is on the game’s official site.
What will change
The Insight Skill system will be made less complex, with more reliable success detection. Spirit gain and loss will be rebalanced, and Martial Arts and Wizardry Spells will get stronger. According to KOEI TECMO, the goal is more freedom in combat and a more aggressive playstyle. Optimization is on the list too, with graphical improvements and faster loading.
Platforms, editions and bonuses
The game launches on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC (Steam and the Xbox app), and arrives day one on Xbox Game Pass. Pre-orders are open: the Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Season Pass, the Creator God Armor Set, a digital artbook and mini soundtrack, and the Shitieshou Hat. Early buyers also get the Harvest God and Creator Goddess Garb bonuses (not included in the Game Pass version).
