A busy Thursday for Switch 2 owners: three games arrived on the console on October 22, from a Lara Croft adventure to a cult of cute critters and a co-op horror game for two.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics shadow-dropped the final chapter of Lara Croft’s origin trilogy on Switch 2 for $39.99, with a 10% launch discount through November 4. It includes all DLC, among them the seven challenge tombs, side missions and two-player online co-op. The Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy collection, with Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration and Shadow, is also out for $69.99.
Cult of the Lamb
Massive Monster and Devolver Digital’s hit now has a Switch 2 version with a smoother frame rate, higher resolution and GameShare support. Anyone who already owns it on Switch, physical or digital, can upgrade for free, and existing DLC remains compatible.
Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch
The debut game from French studio Atlantis Studio is an asymmetric co-op horror game for two: one player explores the House in first person, fleeing a creature called the Gloam, while the other watches through cameras and guides their partner. It supports couch co-op, GameShare, local network and online play, and with the Friend Pass only one of the two needs to buy it. The Nintendo eShop lists it at $19.99.
The launch also kicked off the Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch World Championship, running until November 2: teams of two adults stream their run on Twitch and submit their score, and the best one wins a trip to Edinburgh, Scotland. The rules are on the game’s official site.
