Soccer, but with guns, grappling hooks, jetpacks and no referee. That’s the pitch behind Illegal Soccer, known to many Brazilian players as Futebol Proibido: a game made by studio Repotted on Roblox that has taken off since its September launch. On October 7, Roblox said it had racked up nearly 150 million matches; on 18/10/2026, the game’s official page showed more than 201 million visits and over 60,000 people playing at once.
This guide sticks to what the official sources confirm (the game’s Roblox page, its in-game store and the update notes Repotted publishes): how a match works, what the jetpack costs, whether there are codes, and tips to get started.
What is Illegal Soccer (Futebol Proibido)
Illegal Soccer is a free multiplayer soccer game, listed on Roblox under Sports with a “Mild” maturity rating. The official description sums it up: the world’s most popular sport, finally with guns, grappling hooks, jetpacks and more. You can kick, tackle, beat up and blow up your opponents, and nobody blows the whistle. The flip side: you might slip on someone’s oil spill or get shot mid-dribble.
The developer is Repotted, a verified Roblox group with nearly 500,000 members that also made Overkill and co-created Ultimate Battlegrounds and Outlaster. Each server holds up to 8 players. Illegal Soccer is part of Roblox’s Novel Games initiative, which spotlights unusual genre mashups, and it gets updates every Saturday.
How to play
At its core it’s soccer: two teams (red and blue), a ball and two goals. Your moves include kicks, passes, lobs, flicks, dribbles, tackles and volleys, and each side can have a goalkeeper. The twist is the items, which come into play during the match with limited uses. Items Repotted has mentioned include a gun, the Freeze Gun, the Magnet (which pulls the ball), the Rocket Punch, a rocket launcher, the grappling hook, the jetpack, oil spills, barricades, the Grenade (Rare, two throws per pickup), the Sledgehammer (Epic, a leap and ground slam that ragdolls anyone nearby) and, since October 17, the Boomerang.
Since September 14 you can also curve your shots: start charging a kick and, while still charging, hold right click and move the mouse on PC; on mobile, drag the movement thumbstick far to the left or right; on controller, hold the pass button and move the right stick. On a laptop trackpad, press T instead of right click.
There’s also ranked play with two queues and separate Elo ratings: Illegal (items) and Legal (no items). You need 5 owned items to enter, your rank shows after 10 placement matches, and in an Illegal match each team votes to ban one of the other team’s items. On top of that there are clubs, achievements that grant real Roblox badges and coins, player cards, and private servers with custom rules (bots, ball physics, jump height, items off and more).
Jetpack: how much it costs and how to get it
The most common question is how much the jetpack costs. Short answer: the jetpack isn’t sold on its own for Robux. When we checked the game’s official Roblox store on 18/10/2026, there was no game pass or product named jetpack. The only passes on sale are VIP (499 Robux) and Jersey Customization (249 Robux), and neither includes gameplay items.
Items, the jetpack included, are added to your inventory through item rolls. Prices listed in the official store on 18/10/2026:
- Item Roll: 59 Robux; 10-pack: 415 Robux;
- Daily Deal Item Roll: 35 Robux;
- Item unlock by rarity: Common 29, Uncommon 79, Rare 159, Epic 449 and Mythic 999 Robux.
You can also get items for free: daily rewards hand out coins every day and 2 free item rolls each week, according to the official September 8 update notes. The VIP pass adds 2 daily deal rolls. The jetpack’s exact rarity isn’t listed in official sources, so we can’t say which unlock tier applies to it, and prices may change with any update.
Codes (updated 18/10/2026)
As of 18/10/2026, we found no active official codes for Illegal Soccer: neither the game’s Roblox page nor Repotted’s update notes announce any redeemable codes. Be wary of sites promising free Robux or jetpack codes, and never use scripts or “hacks”: the game has anti-exploit protection and those tools put your Roblox account at risk. If a code ever drops, the official channels are Repotted’s Roblox group, the official Discord (discord.gg/repotted) and @Repotted_ on X.
Tips
- Claim your daily reward: the coins and 2 free weekly rolls are the cheapest way to build your inventory and reach the 5 items ranked requires.
- Practice curve shots: they work on volleys too and help you bend the ball around the keeper.
- Use the jetpack for aerial plays: there are achievements for staying airborne for 3+ seconds and for scoring from a strike taken high in the air.
- Mind your own rocket launcher: hitting yourself still pushes you upward.
- Prefer pure soccer? The Legal ranked queue has no items.
- Squad up: you can invite friends to your team and queue together, ranked included.
Frequently asked questions
How much does the jetpack cost in Illegal Soccer?
It has no price of its own in Robux. The jetpack comes from item rolls (59 Robux each, 415 for a 10-pack) or from the free rolls in the daily rewards. Prices checked in the official store on 18/10/2026.
