Orbitals, the new game from Shapefarm, brings an avalanche of news one week before arriving on the Nintendo Switch 2

Ahead of next week’s launch, publisher and creative studio Kepler Interactive, together with Tokyo-based developer Shapefarm, announces new ways for fans to engage with Orbitals, the upcoming anime-inspired retro adventure launching exclusively for Nintendo Switch™ 2 on September 3.

New 2-Player Co-op Website!

Discover a unique multiplayer website and learn more about the characters and worlds of Orbitals. Inspired by classic printed manuals from the 80s and 90s, two players need to access the site at the same time and solve puzzles together to move through the pages and uncover all the secrets.

Visit the Orbitals co-op website here.

Play Orbitals Before Everyone Else at gamescom This Week!

Fans attending this year’s gamescom in Cologne, Germany, will be able to play the Orbitals Global Friend Pass demo before launch. In collaboration with Nintendo, fans can bring a friend to Hall 9 to take on the demo and also leave with exclusive Orbitals stickers (while supplies last).

The Global Friend Pass will be released as a free downloadable app on September 3, alongside the launch of Orbitals, offering one more convenient way for players to enjoy the game beyond local play and GameShare options between compatible Nintendo Switch devices. For more information about the Global Friend Pass, visit the official website.

Pop-Up Store in Kyoto, Japan, Celebrates the Launch of Orbitals!

From September 1 to 9, 2026, fans in Japan can visit a unique pop-up experience in Kyoto to celebrate the game’s launch. In addition to exclusive products for purchase, a gallery space will also display never-before-seen artwork, and the Global Friend Pass demo will be available to play throughout launch week.

The Orbitals pop-up store in Kyoto will be located on the third floor of the Takashimaya Shopping Center – T8 (35-2 Otabicho, Shijodori Teramachi Higashi-iru, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, 600-8002).

Those interested can find more information directly on the game’s Japanese social media.

Orbitals launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch™ 2 on September 3 and is already available for pre-order. A physical edition will be released alongside the digital version, and fans can also get the Deluxe Digital edition, which includes digital bonuses such as the soundtrack (accessible through the game’s main menu). For more information, follow the game’s social media and subscribe to the newsletter on the official website.
