Come along, this one is small and curious: Gameaki, a studio from Kissamos, on the island of Crete, has released Match 3 Racing on Google Play. It is the studio’s third game and combines two things that almost never go hand in hand: the match-three puzzle and a spaceship race.
How it works
You pilot a little ship toward the finish line and, to gain speed and pass your rivals, you need to match three energy particles of the same color. Levels get harder gradually, and you can upgrade your ship as you progress. The game is free.
Gameaki says it wants to bring local developers together and help take their games to the global market. The game is on Google Play, and there is a gameplay video on YouTube.
My little gamer heart thought…
What a cute idea for quick matches while standing in line: some colors matching, an overtake and done. I just hope reflexes do not get tangled up with the board in the middle of the race, because then the cuteness turns into desperation fast.
