gamescom latam panorama brasil presents 40 Brazilian games

gamescom latam panorama brasil presents 40 Brazilian games in the event's non-competitive showcase, with national highlights outside the competition.

The gamescom space showcases the best national games not nominated for the competitive showcase

gamescom latam announces the list of the 40 games that will be at gamescom latam panorama brasil, the event’s non-competitive showcase. In the space, dedicated to the best Brazilian games that did not make it as finalists of the gamescom latam BIG Festival, visitors will be able to try and have fun with the games on display. The 40 titles on show also went through the gamescom latam BIG Festival Selection Committee and were selected exclusively for panorama brasil.

Besides being able to play the 40 games on site, visitors to the space will also have the chance to meet and talk directly with the developers of the titles, who will be able to  present and explain the dynamics, specifications and details of their games.

In this edition, 4 of the selected titles were developed by students. ETHEREAL, by Dandelion Wave Game Studio (Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná – PUCPR); Manu, by Alta Vontade Studios (Uniso); Scarlet Manor: The Heir, by Astral Game Studio (UFMA e UERN) and Scorchie Adventures, by Tiny Lantern Games (Senac Santo Amaro), are the games that will be present.

Among the selected, there are also 10 games backed by publishers. For Gustavo Steinberg, CEO of gamescom latam, this indicates how the Brazilian games industry attracts more and more attention from investors. “We see growth and recognition of the national industry. This year, we have 10 games that have a partnership with publishers, and this shows how Brazil can and should grow a lot in this market. This is an achievement worth celebrating, and gamescom latam panorama brasil serves exactly for that, to show and celebrate all the talent we have here,” the executive comments.

The list with all the games selected for gamescom latam panorama brasil is available on the gamescom latam website .

gamescom latam panorama brasil is right at the entrance of the event, being the first thing visitors will see when they walk in. This brings visibility to the games invited to take part in the area, giving them the opportunity to show other work and invite the public to learn more about their projects.

Although the space does not host games that are competing for awards, some of the studios responsible for the selected games also have titles selected for the competitive showcase, which shows a bit of the quality visitors can expect from the games in the showcase. As an example, the studio Sad Socket, whose game Ending Tau, is on the panorama brasil list, also has the title 9 Kings nominated for the Best Brazilian Game award.

Tickets for gamescom latam

The second batch of tickets is now available on the event’s official site . Prices range from R$ 100 (half-price) to R$ 200 (full price) for single visits.
