“Cultures of Oceania” is now available for HUMANKIND™

HUMANKIND™, the renowned turn-based historical strategy game that lets you guide your civilization from the Ancient to the Modern era, is expanding its horizons with the addition of Oceania. With this new DLC, the game now offers a total of 86 cultures for players to explore and blend.

Cultures of Oceania – What to Expect

This expansion brings six new cultures, each with its own characteristics and fascinating stories:

• Era 1 – Pama-Nyungan (Aesthetic): The Pama-Nyungan languages, spoken by groups that spread across much of Australia’s territory, bring with them not only unique languages but also unique cultural and artistic practices.
• Era 2 – Polynesians (Expansionist): The Polynesians, originally from the islands of Tonga, Samoa and Uvea, innovated in navigation techniques that led them to conquer vast stretches of the Pacific Ocean.
• Era 3 – Rapa Nui (Builder): The Rapa Nui, settlers of Easter Island, faced extreme challenges to create monumental statues and ceremonial structures.
• Era 4 – Maori (Militarist): The Maori populations, on the North Island, built a complex society, structured in clans and families, maintaining their bonds of solidarity through conflicts and wars.
• Era 5 – Hawaiians (Agrarian): In the late 18th century, Hawaiian society went through profound transformations while maintaining the administration of its land and sea resources.
• Era 6 – New Zealanders (Scientific): In the 1940s and 1950s, New Zealand moved away from British rule, investing in technologies to secure its energy independence.

Beyond the New Cultures, More News

In addition to the six new cultures, the “Cultures of Oceania” DLC brings six new wonders to enrich the game world. From Uluru to Aitutaki Lagoon, these wonders offer unique opportunities to thrive and leave your mark on history.

Players can also expect seven new independent peoples, 15 exciting narrative events and themed soundtracks composed by Arnaud Roy, adding an extra layer of depth to the gameplay experience.

Free Content for Everyone

In addition to the DLC, Amplitude Studios released a free update called the “Bonny Update,” which improves naval gameplay, trade and resource management. This update brings significant improvements to the player experience.

Also, pirate fans can celebrate, as a free Caribbean Pirates culture is available in Era 4 (Militarist). Now you can lead the fearsome Caribbean pirates in their quest for military supremacy.
