Dragon Ball FighterZ to get PS5 and Xbox Series version with new feature

Dragon Ball FighterZ gets a native PS5 and Xbox Series version with rollback netcode, Bandai Namco announces after the EVO 2022 final.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will get a native version for “next-gen” consoles.

After the Dragon Ball FighterZ grand final at EVO 2022, Bandai Namco said the game is at a level where it no longer needs balance adjustments, and that new characters are not planned.

Even so, a feature players have long asked for will be implemented soon: rollback netcode.

Rollback netcode will be implemented in the versions of the game coming to PS5, Xbox Series S and X, and also in the PC version.

The current console versions will not receive this new feature, but Bandai Namco said the Xbox One version will be compatible with Smart Delivery, and the PS4 version will have an upgrade program to the PS5 version, without saying whether this will have a cost.

On the PC version, players will be able to choose whether to play with the current netcode or the rollback netcode.

More information will be released at another date, and no information about upgrades to graphics, resolution or framerate was given.
