Nintendo denies price increase plans and a new console announcement

Nintendo denies plans to raise the Switch price or announce a new console in recent interviews, after price hikes on other devices.

In recent interviews, Nintendo responds to recent speculation from the public.

Recently, console buyers witnessed price increases on devices such as Meta’s (formerly Facebook) Oculus. In response to questions about this, which market analysts discuss and defend as a victim of inflation and as a sign that its business model is unsustainable, the public was even more surprised when Microsoft and Sony gave no definitive answers on the subject.

Microsoft declined to comment while Sony declined to confirm any increase or decrease in prices in any form. Considering that both companies have faced supply problems with their devices since launch, the situation becomes even more complex if an increase like this is put on the table.

Nintendo, for its part, said it has no plans to change the current price of its current console, the Nintendo Switch, and in a recent comment also denied having plans to announce any new version of its line of devices this year.

The information can be checked in the Bloomberg report.
