DNF Duel is a fighting game developed by ArkSys (Arc System Works), based on an RPG franchise called Dungeon Fighter Online.
The franchise was originally released in Korea under the name Dungeon & Fighter (hence the abbreviation DNF), then released in Japan as Arad Senki. When it launched in the US, they decided to change the name to Dungeon Fighter Online (DFO).
Dungeon Fighter Online is a 2D side-scrolling brawler RPG, and the franchise is already 16 years old, with the original release in 2005 in Korea.
Now Nexon will publish this spin-off, which is being developed by ArkSys, the same developer behind Dragon Ball FighterZ and creator of the Blazblue and Guilty Gear franchises.
As we see in the videos, each character in the new game will be based on a class such as: Berserker, Inquisitor, Striker, Grappler, Ranger and many others.
The game has no release date yet, and the platforms that will receive it have not been announced. If it follows the pattern of ArkSys’s recent games, the release will probably be only for PS4, PS5 and PC.
