Previously planned for release at the end of this year,, Horizon Forbidden West
has finally been officially delayed. Until now there were strong rumors that had not been confirmed. According to Guerrilla Games, the delay aims to prioritize the health of the team during the pandemic.
Horizon Forbidden West will launch on February 18, 2022 for PS4 and PS5, and pre-orders open on September 2. The announcement also revealed that the first game (Horizon Zero Dawn) received a patch (released today) that makes the game run at 4K/60FPS on PS5, so the quality settings we had in the game menu disappear, since the PS5 has power to spare to run the game with the best of both performance mode and resolution.
