Treyarch scheduled for today (at 2 PM, Brasília time) the official announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII, the new title in Activision’s flagship franchise, but some details leaked ahead of time.
A promotional image published on IGN’s website, since removed, shows the game’s possible protagonists, along with other details.
Donnie “Ruin” Walsh, Erin “Battery” Baker and Tavo “Nomad” Rojas, all from Black Ops 3, appear prominently in the image, revealing a continuation of the series timeline, which had been questioned by earlier rumors. Another interesting detail is the weapon Ruin carries, a Remington R5, from Call of Duty: Ghosts, which may suggest the game takes place before the events of BO3 or even BO2.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will arrive on October 12 for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
