Since there are no new games, how about a Mega Man bike?

Japanese maker KhodaaBloom, with Capcom, released a Mega Man road bike for 290,000 yen (US$ 2,720), with matching Wave One cycling jerseys.

I don’t know how it is today, but in my day the kids’ biggest dream was a bicycle. The girls wanted a Caloi Ceci (a classic Brazilian bike) while the boys sighed for mountain bikes with 18 gears (a novelty back then). But surely none was as stylish as this Mega Man one.

In a deal with Capcom, the Japanese maker KhodaaBloom developed this beauty to attract cycling enthusiasts together with fans of the beloved blue bomber of games.

The bike features a Mega Man blue paint job, but also has small details, such as Energy cans, the 1UP icon on the front and the iconic energy bar on the forks. It went on sale a few days ago in Japan and has a price of 290,000 yen (US$ 2,720). The maker advertises it as the lightest aluminum road bike in the world, at a weight of 7.8 kg … but anyone who knows a little about the subject knows a cyclist will only pay that amount for a carbon frame.

Besides the bike, a variety of special cycling jerseys will also be released by a brand called Wave One. These will feature Mega Man, Proto Man and Forte themes so you can have a bit of rivalry with your friends during the ride.
