Heads up: Steam Next Fest runs until Monday, October 26, and the inbox is still packed. After the first list and part 2, here is our third batch of free demos worth downloading.

Action and brawling

ArcheAge Chronicles, XLGAMES’ open-world action MMORPG built in Unreal Engine 5, opened its demo to everyone, with no key or sign-up. It debuts PvP and the Throne of Hinnon dungeon, with all four classes playable (Warrior, Ranger, Berserker and Mage). Housing and trade arrive with Early Access, and XLGAMES promises buy-to-play with no combat advantages for sale.

Elta: Defy All Gods, from Focus Entertainment and Afterburner Studios, shows the first hour of the action-platformer: you are Victus, a warrior monk searching for a lost dragon-god. The demo is also on PS5 and Xbox Series, and the game launches on February 2, 2027. Sil and the Fading World, from IceCrack Games and Arc Games, is an action RPG with raid bosses you take on solo; the demo adds the Assassin specialization, the Dunevault raid and a pet system.

Horror

Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, from Stormind Games, launches in full on October 27; the demo runs on an older build because the team is focused on the final game. Beatrix, from Italy’s Tambù Digital, is a card roguelite set in Hell where you also build the board, and it is back with a new tutorial and reworked battles.

Play together

FLING UP TOGETHER, from OFF BOX Studios, ties two friends to one rope to climb floating islands, and its update adds proximity voice chat, skins and emotes: arguments guaranteed. Emberville, from Cygnus Cross, released a 1.5 to 2-hour prologue whose progress carries over to Early Access on October 27. Rideshare “Stimulator”, from Saber Interactive and UNIGINE, puts you behind the wheel of a ride-hailing business full of odd passengers, with a 45 to 60-minute demo on Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series.

Roguelikes and friends

Half Grip, a pixel-art combat racer where you steer, shoot and change gears with one hand, passed 100,000 wishlists. Slumber Realm, a dice roguelike against childhood fears, launches November 4. JOHN GLEEP, from offbrand games and monthbug, is a dual-screen intergalactic pachinko roguelike out November 11. Void Eaters, an incremental game from a solo Ukrainian developer, builds creatures organ by organ and launches in February 2027.

To wrap up

Aeterna Lucis, the sequel to Aeterna Noctis, lets you play the entire Tower of Light, first boss included, and launches December 3. Rhythm Hotel is a one-button rhythm game in the style of Rhythm Heaven, with historical figures causing chaos in a hotel. And I Want to Play the Villain!, a theatre puzzle game from the makers of Boxville, added Chapter 2 to its demo and launches in Q1 2027.
